Approximately 25 local seniors gathered at Life Care Center of Valparaiso, Indiana, on Feb. 26, 2019, for a healthy heart breakfast presentation.
The facility catered a heart-healthy spread of veggie egg casserole and turkey sausage egg casserole made with Egg Beaters, as well as fresh fruit and bran fruit muffins. In addition to the meal, the seniors listened to Dr. Christopher Osan share about how to keep the heart healthy through diet and activity level. Osan also explained how the heart works and the risk factors for heart attacks and strokes.
“The attendees were very pleased about the program and had many questions for the doctor,” said Cathy Ellis, marketing director.
Life Care Center of Valparaiso also provided door prizes and cards for tracking blood pressure readings.
